How is it different?

'VocabStories' provides a fun way to learn new words. This is useful for someone preparing for GRE, SAT, GMAT, CAT, GATE and other entrance tests.

We introduce about 20 new words in an easy to read story. Vocabulary for exams is highlighted and you can click on them to see their full meaning. You can revise the words through tests and bookmark the words to review them quickly.

In 'VocabStories', the story provides a link/base for the new words learnt. This way you don’t study words as isolated entities but as interconnected entities with a base (story) which is easy to recall. This makes retention much easier and longer. When you come across new words in the story, try to remember their place in the story. Later you should try to recall the story and the words. This connection will be very helpful when you try to recall the word/meanings.

Most vocabulary tools use alphabetical lists with example sentences or mnemonics based on pictures/hints. Such methods may be useful for a small set of words but if you are to learn many words in short time (like for GRE) they tend to fail. This is because words are studied as isolated entities without anything binding them.
